We all know geeks are geniuses. Unfortunately sometimes people think we (geeks) have not appreciation for art. Most of the time that is not true.
As you know I used to draw (colour pencil drawing) in my early ages. I haven't done it in years! Anyway, I have always liked to play with lights and fading shadows, with closed spaces and rounded shapes. After many years I guess I have acquired a particular taste for painting. Last Sunday I went to the NGV International (National Gallery of Victoria) with a Colombian friend. I love the paintings of Caravaggio. Strong colours, romantic figures standing on semi-darken rooms painted over the canvas.
One of my best scenes is "The Calling of Matthew" by that mentioned author.

Claude Monet's Argenteuil in contrast does not invite me to think much even though it looks great. For some weird reason this friend of mine loved those colourless paintings and if we can call them they are a little bit foggy.
